If you must make an excellent public speaking, then you must learn to reduce your tension.<br />

The truth is that, tension will definitely come. But your ability to control it, will decide how good your speech will be. Now, the question is, "<b>How can I control it?</b>"<br />
This question will be precisely answered in subsequent points.<br />

<li><b>PREDICT YOUR AUDIENCE</b></li>

To make an excellent and bold speech, you must be able to predict the kind of audience you are to address. This is not something everyone knows, it is a secret trick I think, will help you. There are three(3) thing predicting your audience will help you do.<br />

So, this is what predicting your audience before presentation helps you do. More so, It also help reduce your tension, because you have already presume the kinds of people you will be speaking to. You will no longer be suppressed by fear/tension when you see them.<br />

<li><b>WRITE DOWN YOUR WORK</b></li>

Weather or not you are giving your speech off-hand, you should write it down in piece of paper. However, this is not what you must do (for those who are already good in public speaking). It is voluntarily. But it will be of great help to those who are very callow and timid in speaking to the public.<br />

The advantages of this to newbie speakers cannot be overruled. Writing down your work, should replace cramming your work. This is because writing down your work help you to prepare a very coordinated work, and keep the work in your memory without necessarily cramming it.<br />

Some students may think, that their passion/talents, has nothing to do with education. But the truth is that, it really has something to do with your education. Today, Chinua Achebe is respected throughout the whole Africa, as the father of the African literature. So you see, you should not choose, on the basics of profitability first, but let your passion play.<br />

But will be a great obstacle to those with less economic power (money). So, before choosing any university course, make sure your economic power will meet up to the demands of that course. Students seems to love teachers who share new ideas and facts with them, than those who only stick to the school scheme of work. These ideas makes you fascinating as a teacher.<br />

<b>6. DON'T BE BIAS</b><br />

If you are bias in treating students, then you must be prepared to teach a class of hatred. As a teacher, you are not supposed to consider religion, family, tribe and others, while doing anything in the classroom. Make sure everyone is equal to the other and also stop any form of discrimination among them. While teaching, must make sure you carry ever body along with you. Even when "student A" seems not to be brilliant, make him feel as if he is. Don't commend "student B" as the only brilliant student in the class, but make the unintelligent once feel as if they are almost at the verge of being the best.<br />

This is another key factor any teacher must induce to become the best. No student wants to seat and listen to teachers, who do not make their class lively. However, this does not mean you should totally digress from what you are supposed to teach.<br />

<b>8. GIVE EVERYONE THE ROOM TO PARTICIPATE</b><br />

Giving students the opportunity to express themselves in any class room activity, is a good way of making students learn what has been thought in class. Like I said before, you must learn to Carry everyone along. By doing this, you are solving many problem of your students like; the problem of being shy, not being able to express themselves and more importantly, it helps them become more socialize. Giving students the opportunity to participate in classes/school activities also makes you a great teacher, because it inversely improves learning.<br />

<b>9. BE DISCIPLINED AND NOT CALLOUS</b><br />

While you are busy creating a good conversation, familiarity and relationship between you and your students, you must also be disciplined. Because, some students may want to abuse it. <b>BRIEF HISTORY OF THE WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATION COUNCIL:</b>

The West African Examination Council (WAEC), was established in 1952. It is the body responsible for the conduct of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), for university and JAMB entry examination, in 5(five) West African countries, which include:<br />

• Ghana<br />
• Nigeria<br />
• Gambia<br />
• Liberia<br />
• Sierria Leone<br />

The West African Examination Council (WAEC),  was established as a result of a meeting, held by the University of Cambridge local examinations syndicate, University of London school examination matriculation council and West African departments of education, who met in 1948, to discuss the well-being of the West African education standard. These different body, eventually agreed to send a spy (Dr.  George Barker Jeffery). When he returned, he came back with an intense appeal for the establishment of WAEC.  The bodies analyzed his his request, and accepted to do just as he had said. They therefore, seek concerted effort from the the government of the divergent countries which Dr. George had spied, and the West African Examination Council (WAEC), became a full-fledged body in 1952. Today, WAEC is a very pronounce examination body in West Africa.<br />

<b>WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDED GRADES IN WAEC EXAMINATION FOR STUDENTS</b>?<br />
<br />
According to the West African Examination Council (WAEC), Students are expected to score at least 5(five) Credit, in the examination. Meanwhile, it is also worthy to know that, scoring a credit or above a credit, is compulsory in English Language and Mathematics. That is, you must score at least a credit, in English language, Mathematics, and other three subjects, before he can be called a successful candidate.<br />

<b>HOW MANY SUBJECT SHOULD A CANDIDATE REGISTER IN WAEC?</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
Well, it is your own choice to make. You can either choose 9(nine) or 8(eight) subjects (from the subjects you studied in secondary school). But, I always advise candidates to select 9(nine) subjects or above, as it may inversely increase their chance of success in the examination.<br />

<b>HOW ARE WAEC QUESTIONS STRUCTURED?</b>

WAEC examination questions, basically carry two parts. The theory part, and the objective part. please read assiduously as I explain the the two  parts.<br />

<b>THE THEORY PART:</b><br />
<br />
Here, you will be asked to answer questions without any given option. You are expected to give full detail on the questions you will be asked, in this part.<br />
<br />
<b>THE OBJECTIVE PARTS:</b><br />
<br />
On like the theory part,  the objective part comprises questions, where options will be given for you to choose from (they are usually the first part in your question paper).<br />

<b>HOW DIFFICULT IS WAEC EXAMINATION</b>?

This is one of the most striking  question most WAEC Candidate ask. They want to know if they can really pass the examination themselves. And in regard to this question, the answer is a big YES. WAEC is not a difficult examination. The only thing that make students fail, is their poor preparation. Believe me, If you can get the right materials for your subjects, then consider yourself a successful candidate. But if you fail to do this, then you are the one holding yourself.<br />

<b>WHAT ARE WAEC'S PUNISHMENT FOR EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE?</b><br />

The West African Examination Council (WAEC), is a very renounce examination body in the world, but has also suffered malpractice to a large extent. This notwithstanding, has made the body impose, aggressive punishment for people who engage in examination malpractice. Currently, when a student is caught in malpractice, he or she will forfeit writing that examination. And if the case becomes too enormous, the whole center where such act is detected, will be closed down. So you see, malpractice can cause you a serious damage.<br />

<b>HOW DO I PASS WAEC EXAMINATION?</b>

WAEC examination is very easy to surpass. But this will depend on your enthusiasm for success. How you prepare, will determine your your grades in the examination. However, it is also worthy to let you know that, WAEC often pick questions from the past, and use them in current examinations. What I mean is that, WAEC now set most of the questions they had asked before. And as so,  I think the best way to prepare is to frequently study past questions, together with your notebooks and textbooks. By this way, you will make the grades you wished.</h4>
